2020 Bill Mulrenan Charity Golf Fundraiser
for Mission of Deeds

Dear Golf Sponsors, Golfers, and Donors,

Due to the ongoing public health emergency, we have canceled the annual Bill Mulrenan Charity Golf Tournament for Mission of Deeds at the Woburn Country Club this year. This is the first time in 23 years our players will not be on the course playing through rain, snow, or even sunshine!

This is an incredibly challenging time for Mission of Deeds. We expect increased demand for our services as the effects of the shut-down on the economy cause people who had marginal incomes, and now no incomes, to need additional support. Things are harder for everyone right now. But imagine going through this without furniture in your home.
Donate Now

Your support will have a meaningful impact on our ability to reorganize our operation and give our clients their much-needed beds, furniture, and household goods in a safe manner for clients, volunteers, and staff. Our golf tournament raised an average of $40,000 in past years. If you are able, we would love for you to make a donation of any amount as we are not relying on donated linens and small household goods at this point in time.

Traditionally, Mission of Deeds has purchased mattresses, box springs, bed frames and pillows. We will now need to purchase linens and small household goods to ensure that we are giving the safest items to our clients during the COVID-19 crisis.

The Mission of Deeds is a non-profit volunteer organization providing beds, gently used furniture and household items, free of charge, to individuals and families in need. Since its inception in 1993, the Mission of Deeds has helped over 40,000 people. More than half of those served are women with children, many of whom have lived in shelters for battered women. Others assisted are victims of fires or other tragedies, elders who have no family, and veterans.

Thank you for your support!
