When you donate to the Mission of Deeds, your donation goes directly to those who need it most. With minimal administrative costs our largest expense is purchasing new mattresses, box springs, and bed frames for those in need.

Our Changing Lives Program provides an opportunity for anyone to choose a way to transform generosity into hope for our clients in need by sponsoring either a Buy-a-Bed campaign or hosting a drive for our Kitchen Essentials Program, or Household Linens Program. - Our Buy-a-Bed Program is often sponsored by our local banks or retailers at different times and locations throughout the year. The funds raised (for each $100) helps us provide our clients with everything needed for a complete bed: mattress, box spring, frame (twin/full/queen, crib or bunk bed), sheets, new pillows, and blankets. - We also have a Kitchen Essentials Program that ensures our clients have what they need to cook at home, so they can prepare a healthy meal and save money. Follow the link above to learn how you can donate new or gently used items or consider hosting a drive for them.
- The Household Linens Program collects new or gently used household items such as sheets, blankets, comforters, new pillows, bath, and kitchen towels. Follow the link and learn more about donating new or gently used items or organize and host a donation drive for them.

Mission of Deeds (MOD) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer-based organization that provides beds, furniture, and basic household items, Free of charge to those in need, located in Middlesex and Essex Counties as well as the Suffolk County communities of Chelsea, Revere, and Winthrop. (Our Tax ID number is 22-3252651).

Ways to Donate
We provide beds, furniture, and basic household items free of charge to individuals and families in need.
Items We Need on a Regular Basis for Our Clients:

Furniture in good condition or gently used, basic housewares for the kitchen including small kitchen appliances, linens for the kitchen, and beds that are new or gently used that will help us outfit a home. If you have a question on whether we will accept your item please call our office.

Donation Drop Off Hours and Where to Donate
Donations are accepted anytime during our normal operating hours. We would appreciate it if you would drop off your donation at least 30 minutes before closing time. However, if you have a large donation let us know in advance by calling us so we can be sure we have enough staff to assist you. Leave a voice message if we are unable to take your call. We return every call.

Charity Donation Pick Up
Our pick up of donated items is scheduled by appointment only and it is a limited service because it is staffed by volunteers. Please call: (781) 944.9797 to review what you have and add your name to our pick up schedule.
We do not have a donation box outside our facility so any donations must be brought to us during our normal business hours.
All donated goods must be able to be easily carried by two people.
We reserve the right to refuse items that we know will not be suitable for our clients’ needs. We are often outfitting small spaces. If you have any questions, please call and leave us a message if we are unable to take your call. All calls are returned.
Donate Money Online or Mail a Check
We depend solely on private donations, “neighbors helping neighbors,” and do not receive any government or United Way funding.
We also accept cash donations, they are used to purchase items that are most in need. Your donations have a maximum impact because the Mission of Deeds has a 15% admin ratio which means that 85% of funds received go directly to helping people in need.
